Who is John
There is more than one instance of a John being a great name on the island of Aniwa. A Cargo Cult rose and still exists in the village Ikaokao. These cult members await John Frum and the cargo he would bring. Another important John is a missionary who brought water to the people through a well. John Paton introduced Christianity to Aniwa after being chased off Tanna by the islanders. This made having a main character for the story of Cradle Earth make sense to be called John

A Missionary Message
There is violent description within the video which may be triggering, however the reality that it was. There is interesting information in the video and I found this to be a more informative and interesting video than a lot of others that I looked at. The time stamp around 27:46 is more specific to when Paton arrives on Aniwa.
